Almost identical to Hoop Pine but slightly pinker and of lower density.

General comment

Easy to dry but care needed to avoid blue stain.

Easy to work.

Unsuitable for steam bending.

Glues well.

Common uses

Plywood, joinery, furniture, panelling.
